Computerwork.com Privacy Policy

Computerwork.com is committed to providing employment services to computer professionals and business opportunities to employers. To fulfill our obligations and better serve you, we gather personal information through several means. You may voluntarily fill out a resume submission form, an application for membership, or email us regarding our services.

Users should be aware that when they voluntarily distribute personal information (such as email addresses), that information might be collected and used by others. This may result in unsolicited messages from third parties, for which Computerwork.com IS NOT responsible.

The goal behind Computerwork.com's services is placing candidates with potential employers based on skills and preferences entered during the resume submission process. We collect your name, address, zip code, telephone number, email address, citizenship status and employment information for this purpose. Computerwork.com provides information entered in the resume submission process to those employers and/or recruiters who purchase our services. We use our best efforts to ensure that only those individuals or companies who have purchased our services can access personal information; however, we cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to our database without our consent. Computerwork.com cannot and does not control the distribution of resume information once delivered to the individual or company purchasing our services. Once parties have gained access to a resume, they may retain a copy in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention or use of such resumes or for the privacy of information contained in such resumes once they are included in those databases or files.

On occasion, email information may be sent to users regarding Computerwork.com and our services.

Computerwork.com may also collect system-related information such as IP address, browser type, and operating system type and use it for system administration purposes. This information may be used to monitor site traffic, diagnose system problems and monitor server resources. This information is kept for internal use only and is not disclosed to third parties. Aggregate information regarding site traffic, trends and demographics may be used for promotional purposes and distributed to third parties within that context.

In order to provide the best service possible, Computerwork.com may on occasion use a feature on your Internet browser called a "cookie." Cookies are small files that your Web browser places on your computer's hard drive. They allow you to access password-protected pages without having to log in repeatedly when visiting our site. You have the option of setting your browser to reject cookies, if you so desire.

Protecting Your Privacy - Computerwork.com is dedicated to providing a safe environment for you to conduct your job search. Although we closely monitor the site against fraud, we ask that you take precautions in the information you are sharing with potential employers.

Never include your social security number, credit card numbers or bank information on your resume, cover letter or profile information. Additionally do not provide this information to another party over the phone, email, or through the mail unless you have initiated the contact or are confident in their identity.

Be aware of opportunities that "look too good to be true." We recommend checking with the Better Business Bureau or LooksTooGoodToBeTrue website(s) for information regarding the types of fraud, recently reported scams and additional suggestions on how to protect yourself from identify theft.

If you come across a suspicious job posting listed on our site please notify us immediately at webmaster@computerwork.com.

We appreciate you using Computerwork.com and welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions.
